As a Line Cook at Waynesborough Country Club, you will play a vital role in preparing and executing dishes to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. You will work in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment, ensuring that every dish is prepared efficiently and meets our exacting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional kitchen, a passion for cooking, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a line-cook in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or country club setting.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff, including sous chefs, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or issues to the kitchen manager or executive chef.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily specials and seasonal menu items.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in regular kitchen meetings and training to maintain and improve cooking skills.
  • Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of the kitchen as needed.
