About The Position

Parkwest Casino is seeking an exceptional and talented Line Cook to assist the Chef in kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will help provide guests with an outstanding food and dining experience, focusing on perfection and execution. This role is for someone who excels in their craft and enjoys delivering superior service in an exciting atmosphere.

Requirements

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Open availability.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check.
• Active California Food Handlers Certificate/Card required for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with appropriate recipes and presentation on a consistent basis.
• Provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation and cooking.
• Monitor and control maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen and equipment.
• Recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and grains, including proper storage of these items.
• Effectively utilize leftovers and control waste.
• Be flexible and able to take direction.
• Work with others as a team player in a small confined space.
