About The Position

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. This role plays a key part in delivering a consistent, high-quality food experience for every guest. The Line Cook works as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and contributes to overall kitchen efficiency and success.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies prior to service
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shift
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner to meet service demands
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
  • Assist with prep work, including chopping, portioning, and storing ingredients
  • Communicate effectively with team members and kitchen leadership during service
  • Execute all menu items to company specifications
  • Ensure all dishes meet quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen
  • Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and appearance
  • Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries
  • Label and rotate products following FIFO (first in, first out) standards
  • Minimize waste by using proper portioning and storage techniques
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Take direction from Kitchen Manager and Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Assist other stations as needed during peak periods
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
  • Follow all federal, state, and company health and safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas
  • Participate in daily and weekly cleaning tasks
