About The Position

At The Arlington Hotel in beautiful downtown Paris, Ontario, you’ll join a close-knit team creating memorable dining experiences in one of the region’s most distinctive boutique hotels. From thoughtfully designed menus to personalized guest service, your ideas and contributions will make a difference. This is not a large brigade kitchen—it is a place where you can build your skills, share your creativity, and take pride in the dishes you create. As part of Carmens Group, you’ll be supported by more than 40 years of hospitality excellence while helping shape the next chapter of The Arlington. As a Line Cook at The Arlington Hotel, you will help deliver consistently high-quality, beautifully presented food for our guests. You’ll work in a collaborative kitchen where attention to detail, organization, and a passion for great food are essential.

Requirements

  • Experience in a restaurant, banquet, or high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of a variety of cooking techniques
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-based hours required

Nice To Haves

  • Safe Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset
  • Culinary Trade Certification or Red Seal designation is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute menu items in accordance with established recipes, quality expectations, and presentation standards
  • Organize, stock, and maintain your assigned station before, during, and after service
  • Ensure your workspace and equipment remain clean, safe, and organized throughout your shift
  • Adhere to all food handling, sanitation, storage, and workplace safety requirements
  • Support food preparation, service, plating, and special event execution as needed
  • Work closely with the culinary team to maintain efficient, timely service
  • Assist fellow team members and help keep kitchen operations running smoothly during busy periods
  • Take part in training, team meetings, and ongoing learning opportunities
  • Consistently prepare food with care, accuracy, and pride
  • Whether supporting daily restaurant service, private events, or special celebrations, you will help create exceptional dining experiences for every guest.
