Esplanade Madeira Ranch, located in Elk Grove, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Line Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Esplanade at Madeira Ranch, Elk Grove’s premier 55+ resort-style community, is building something special, and we’re looking for passionate culinary professionals to be part of our opening team. Our private restaurant and bar is preparing for its grand opening, and we are seeking talented line cooks and prep cooks who are excited to help bring a dynamic, chef-driven dining experience to life. Working alongside our Executive Chef, this is a unique opportunity to be involved from the ground up, shaping a program that features seasonal menus, elevated bar offerings, and curated wine pairing dinners. We’re looking for individuals who take pride in their craft, thrive in a team environment, and are eager to grow within a high-quality, hospitality-driven setting. Weekend availability is required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Training.

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).

Responsibilities

  • Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance with production plan or forecast needs.
  • Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste.
  • Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
  • Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
  • Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
  • Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
