About The Position

Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee, is hiring a Line Cook to prepare and cook food as part of the A. Marshall Hospitality restaurant group. The role involves cooking meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products; preparing and portioning food before cooking; and completing food and plate preparation, including plating, garnishing cooked items, and preparing garnishes for hot menu items. Hours vary, and weekend availability is needed. The listed pay rate is $16–$20 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

Must pass the federally mandated E-Verify process.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must understand the proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment.
Must communicate clearly and effectively with managers, kitchen personnel, and dining room personnel.
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

Cook meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products.
Prepare and portion food products before cooking.
Perform food and final plate preparation, including plating and garnishing cooked items.
Prepare appropriate garnishes for hot menu item plates.
