About The Position

Pearlz Oyster Bar in West Ashley, SC is now hiring a Line Cook. The Homegrown Hospitality Group is looking for a Line Cook with a passion for food and a desire to learn. Must have strong knife skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a team-player attitude. The Homegrown Hospitality Group consists of 9 different business concepts and over 15 locations located throughout South Carolina in Charleston, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach. Multiple concepts, multiple locations, one big family!

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety, and security procedures
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Skilled in time management and organization with excellent attention to detail
Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
Knowledge of specs, cook times, plate presentation, etc.
Adheres to ticket order management system
Comply with all specs, quality standards, and department rules and procedures
Take direction from outside and inside Expo
Ability to follow specific service time and guidelines
Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time
Must be reliable and dependable by adhering to a schedule, covering shifts as necessary, and being on time for scheduled shifts

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards.
Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Complete closing duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking.
Follow portion control and waste reduction guidelines.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Maintain positive working relationships with all Team Members and managers
Work as a contributing member of a team
