About The Position

Competitive Pay: $18–$21+ per hour, depending on experience. We are currently seeking an experienced line cook with aspirations to grow with our company in our premiere Morris Plains location, TABOR ROAD TAVERN. Seeking detail-orientated, proactive, team player that has a passion for hospitality. Reporting directly to Chef de Cuisine and playing a vital role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. Compensation commensurate with experience. Pay increases and position changes are reviewed on 30 day and 90 day increments. GOALS To promote teamwork within the restaurant and creating a positive work environment. Reporting on time and in proper uniform, always clocking in and out as required of all employees. Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and organization at all times. Perform duties that ensure guest satisfaction. To follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Use extreme caution when handling equipment and products to avoid breakage and injury. To respond positively to management's requests.

Requirements

  • Culinary degree or certificate is preferred but not required
  • Passion for food and hospitality
  • Dependable timely employee
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Resourceful, clean and well organized working habits with attention to detail.
  • Personable, outgoing, energetic team player with positive attitude.
  • Ability to think quick on their feet and multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand/move for 6-8 hours per shift
