About The Position

The Live! Line Cook is responsible for properly preparing and cooking all food items in a safe, timely, organized manner, maintaining a high quality of food. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while adhering to strict sanitation guidelines and promoting teamwork. The position may occasionally involve guest interaction and requires adherence to company appearance standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in smoke-filled environments.
  • Must be RAMP and Serv-Safe certified.
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances.
  • Ability to stand up and move about the kitchen in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to handle food, objects, products and utensils.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning.
  • Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.
  • Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to use stairs multiple times per day and elevators.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Produce food from standardized recipes.
  • Prepare, portion, and cook food accordingly.
  • Ensure stations are prepared to meet anticipated business levels.
  • Assist fellow staff when needed.
  • Consistently meet ticket time requirements.
  • Accomplish daily cleaning duties efficiently, following sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle high-volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent food quality.
  • Work hands-on with other kitchen personnel to ensure high quality of food, timeliness of service, proper food handling, and a safe, sanitary kitchen.
  • Follow all appropriate procedures and work under supervision of culinary management.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • May occasionally interact directly with guests.
  • Abide by company and department specific appearance standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
