About The Position

The Farmers Daughter Restaurant at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a qualified individual who is interested in working in an upscale hospitality environment. An exemplary work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and a passion for providing superior customer service are necessary for all applicants. This is a full-time position offering a comprehensive benefits package, including Paid Time Off (PTO), Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan. This position requires a five-day workweek. Candidates must have open availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, as well as both AM and PM shifts. Scheduling needs may vary based on business requirements. Line Cook would be responsible for preparing food in our Farmers Daughter a La Carte kitchen which includes, but is not limited to Grilling, Frying, Sautéing and preparing hot hors d oeuvres. We are looking for candidates that are organized, responsible, have a positive demeanor, and are team players.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
High School Diploma or Equivalent
A minimum of one year of previous experience or a recent graduate from a culinary school
Must speak English
Must be able to clearly communicate with managers and staff
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must have your own reliable transportation to get to and from work.

Responsibilities

Attends and participates in all training sessions and team meetings
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner
Prepares all items required for line and special function purposes
Carefully follows standard house recipes when preparing food
Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
Always maintains a clean and organized workstation
Properly stores all food products in appropriate storage areas
Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct
Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management
Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices
Cleans and locks up according to prescribed procedures
Reports to Sous Chef
