About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for working on an assembly line, performing specific tasks such as removing parts/pieces from a whole bird on the cone line. The associate must adhere to all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations, while consistently using and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time, doing rapid and repetitive work in a cold and damp environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
Ability to perform all tasks as assigned by members of management.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC).
Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift.
Ability to be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production.
Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 10 pounds repeatedly, and climb steps.
Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, and bend.
Ability to work in an environment with strong, raw animal odors.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Relative poultry industry experienced.
Basic math functions and skills.

Responsibilities

Use a knife or scissors to cut and debone chicken carcass as it moves down a line.
Follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
