About The Position

American Fork Hospital is seeking a motivated Limited Radiology Technologist to support high-quality patient care in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. In this PRN role, you’ll play a key part in delivering safe, accurate imaging while working alongside a supportive care team dedicated to exceptional outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for students currently enrolled in a radiologic technology program to gain hands-on clinical experience and build a strong foundation for their future career.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a JRCERT- or AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Documented completion of required clinical and didactic training per state regulations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (current)

  • Proficiency in equipment operation and electronic imaging systems
  • Knowledge of contrast protocols and emergency response procedures

Responsibilities

  • Practice within the scope of state licensure and maintain required ARRT or modality-specific competencies
  • Ensure proper patient identification and verify orders prior to imaging
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear, compassionate education
  • Perform imaging exams according to department protocols
  • Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Adhere to all radiation safety standards and maintain a safe work environment
  • Complete studies efficiently without compromising patient care or image quality
  • Apply proper infection control and sterile techniques
  • Operate imaging equipment and related systems effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient history, and any adverse reactions
  • Follow protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control, and equipment reporting
