Limited Radiologic Tech, VV Urgent Care (Per Diem)
About The Position
At NorthBay Health, the Limited License Radiology Tech performs x-ray procedures, limited to the scope of certification, by applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Demonstrates the ability to meet the needs and provide service to all age groups-infancy through geriatrics. Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Assists with clerical and other duties as assigned. Reports all equipment malfunctions. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use.

Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic examinations to the required level of ability.
- Performs radiographic examinations in accordance to established protocols.
- Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
- Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
- Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations.
- Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
- Reports to radiology leadership and/or urgent care leadership regarding equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
- Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to policies.
- Responsible for processing images, burning CD’s, printing films, organizing paperwork and completing requisition forms.
- Seeks out assisting others in the clinic during down time and works in other areas of department throughout the day, such as: front desk duties (i.e. scheduling, registration, working phones, etc.), rooming patients and obtaining vitals, or assisting with other duties as needed, etc.
- Performs other assigned duties as assigned.
