About The Position

This role involves preparing and positioning patients for diagnostic imaging, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation, and practicing radiation protection techniques. The position also includes preparing images for Radiologist review, assisting with Medical Assistant duties to optimize patient flow, and attending staff meetings. A key responsibility is completing training and obtaining Department of Transportation certification for Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests. The role encourages proposing improvements to processes and workflows and involves working autonomously within established procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience
  • Current CRT certificate
  • Current CPR- BLS
  • Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency

  • May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
  • Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
  • Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow
