About The Position

ResProp Management is a growing multi-family property management company founded in 2010, now managing over 20,000 units. We focus on servant leadership and hiring top talent. The Maintenance Technician role is an active team member position where through experience and training, the technician will acquire skills to potentially assume the Maintenance Supervisor's responsibilities. The role involves driving property performance by maintaining clean, safe, and attractive common areas, and driving resident satisfaction by timely and quality completion of work orders. The technician will coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, provide excellent customer service, perform preventative maintenance, prepare vacant apartments for move-in, ensure a safe work environment, and maintain/repair critical building and site systems. The role also involves using software to track performance and handling a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
  • EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred
  • Trade skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance, etc.
  • Trade Licensing preferred but not required
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Must live within 30 minutes of community
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Applicants will be required to pass a background check, and reference check prior to their first day to verify their employment eligibility

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Driving property performance by performing any and all work that produces clean, safe, and attractive common areas, including: pools, laundry, clubhouses, parking lots, etc.
  • Driving resident satisfaction by responding to and completing work orders timely in a quality manner.
  • Coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to prioritize tasks throughout the day.
  • Providing excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
  • Maintaining property value by performing preventative maintenance throughout the property.
  • Ensuring Resident satisfaction by preparing vacant apartments for move-in.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment by identifying any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs on the property and correcting them and/or reporting them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintaining and repairing critical building and site systems.
  • Using software applications to track work and personal performance.
  • Being a part of a team handling a variety of tasks in an always developing environment.
