We are seeking a skilled Lighting Technician to maintain, repair, and optimize lighting systems across our commercial manufacturing facility. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or commercial lighting maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, lighting controls, and energy management
  • Familiarity with LED technology, ballasts, drivers, and lighting control systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and lighting plans
  • Experience working with aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and elevated work platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification in electrical systems or lighting
  • Experience with lighting control platforms
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all lighting systems throughout the facility, including high-bay fixtures, emergency lighting, exterior lighting, and specialty task lighting.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, replace defective ballasts, drivers, lamps, and fixtures, and maintain accurate work order documentation.
  • Install new lighting fixtures and systems according to specifications and building codes.
  • Execute lighting upgrades to improve energy efficiency and lighting quality.
  • Coordinate with electrical contractors and facilities staff on major lighting projects and ensure all installations meet OSHA, NEC, and local electrical code requirements.
  • Program and maintain lighting control systems, occupancy sensors, and daylight harvesting systems.
  • Support the facility's sustainability initiatives through proactive energy optimization and recommend cost-effective lighting solutions.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of lighting systems and emergency lighting.
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, electrical codes, and company safety protocols.
  • Maintain proper lockout/tagout procedures during all electrical work.
  • Respond promptly to emergency lighting failures affecting production or safety.
