About The Position

We are currently recruiting for a Lighting Quotations associate for our San Leandro CA branch. Lighting Quotations is responsible for handling our customer’s needs from receipt of a quote request to the time a quote is sent out to the customer. This includes taking incoming calls or emails for quote requests, requests for changes and requests for re-bids. Communication with customers, outside salespeople, and Manufacture Reps is an important aspect of this role. This position is responsible for being able to problem solve, staying organized, having product knowledge, and gaining knowledge around upcoming products. Additional responsibilities include being able to provide support to Lighting Project Managers/Sales when needed, work with customers to build relationships, and ensure Edges Electrical Group is the go-to for their Lighting needs.

Requirements

Knowledgeable in the electrical product line.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or equivalence of five years’ experience.

Responsibilities

Support branch as an added value to internal teams, outside staff, and customers in the field.
Enter data into Cahill once quotes from reps are received.
Be cognizant of all necessary components required to complete the requested bill of material.
Review quote for accuracy and completeness to ensure quotes are being sent with the intent of being profitable to Edges/lighting team prior to sending to customer.
Work with Outside Salesperson to determine margin based on quote details (knowing if any other contractors and distributors are bidding the same job), ensure customer satisfaction and promote future business.
Maintain an amicable relationship with all Lighting Reps to ensure Edges receives a competitive discount.
Maintain product knowledge, understand current CA Energy Efficiency Standards, older & current, modern technologies, and upcoming projects from Lighting MFG's.
Educate, problem solve and provide support to customers regarding lighting products/issues.
Provide back up to Lighting Project Managers/Sales, as needed.
