About The Position

EXP is seeking a Lighting Designer Intern to join the Lighting Design team in its Orlando, Florida office. The intern will support project production and the design team, including drafting, preparing fixture cut sheets, performing AGI calculations, creating Photoshop renderings, maintaining the fixture library and sample storage area, and developing schedule and detail sheets in CAD under a Designer’s direction.

Requirements

• Interest in Lighting Design.
• Ability to communicate ideas and concepts well.
• Comfort and fluency with basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Self-starter and results-oriented.
• Organized on a daily basis.
• Personable when working with colleagues.
• A level of understanding and experience in CAD/3-D skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project production, including drafting, creating fixture cut sheets, AGI calculations, and Photoshop renderings.
• Maintain and catalogue the fixture library and sample storage area.
• Assist the design team in other capacities as needed.
• Use CAD to develop schedule and detail sheets under the direction of a Designer.
