About The Position

RRD is seeking a Light Equipment Operator 2/Meter Operator to operate offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, packaging, and metering equipment. The role involves setting up and adjusting machinery for production and meter runs, and cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining equipment to support optimal operation. The operator may troubleshoot issues, request maintenance, coordinate crew assignments, and train new team members. Other responsibilities may be assigned by management in response to business needs. The position is listed for the 1st shift, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay range is $17.68 to $26.55 per hour; actual pay may vary based on factors including education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. Employment offers are contingent on successfully completing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Requirements

Knowledge of standard equipment setups, adjustments, and operating characteristics.
Skill in performing standard adjustments and operating the equipment.
Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments according to job requirements and the equipment’s operating characteristics and capabilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for 4–6 hours.
Ability to walk or stand for 6–7 hours.
Ability to bend or stoop for 2–3 hours.

Responsibilities

Operate offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, packaging, and metering equipment.
Set up and adjust machines and equipment for production and meter runs.
Clean, lubricate, and maintain machines to support optimal operation.
Troubleshoot issues and submit maintenance requests as needed.
Coordinate crew-member assignments and provide training to new team members when needed.
Carry out other responsibilities delegated by management in alignment with evolving business needs.
