About The Position

This role involves working under the guidance of a qualified technician to perform disassembly, repair, re-assembly, and testing of components. The technician will repair or replace defective parts on machinery and equipment, ensuring maximum parts are reused to control costs. Responsibilities include preparing parts requisitions, time cards, and service reports, and demonstrating the use of dealer computer systems for work orders and documentation. The technician is expected to maintain a required set of tools and work in a neat, orderly, and safe manner, caring for company equipment. This position also includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience
• Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
• Must have completed standards outlined in the personnel achievement guideline or have been determined to meet the same qualification by the lead person based on division location.
• Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
• Basic problem solving ability using established examples / guidance.
• Some creativity to generate solutions or improve effectiveness within well-established boundaries.
• Job is closely monitored and allows for no significant discretion or independence in scheduling or methods of completing assigned work.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, re-assemble, and test components under the guidance of a qualified technician.
• Repair or replace defective parts on machinery/equipment.
• Disassemble components and properly clean parts.
• Inspect components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs.
• Prepare parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports, ensuring legibility and accuracy.
• Demonstrate utilization of dealer computer systems for work orders and other documentation.
• Maintain a minimum set of tools required for job performance.
• Work in a neat, orderly, and safe manner while caring for and maintaining company machines/equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
