Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Basic English grammar, reading, and math skills.
Must be able to obtain a Lift Truck License.
Interpersonal skills, manual dexterity, moderate mechanical skills, math skills, and judgement skills.
Attention to details.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to use the RF unit.
Must have good vision with or without the use of corrective lenses.
Must be able to sit and drive lift truck for extended periods of time.
Must have good hands / eyes / feet coordination.
Must be able to work 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.

Nice To Haves

Carpet handling skills & knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate a Powered Industrial Lift Truck (Pole, Forks, and/or Squeeze) to move goods such as carpet rolls, backing rolls, carpet cores, yarn bundles, and pallets of products.
Transport goods between tractor trailers, bin locations, machines, and other areas of the facility.
Learn and use the Radio Frequency (RF) computer mounted on the lift trucks to scan product being moved.
Drive the lift truck in a safe and efficient manner.
Learn and perform Dock Plate placement procedures safely, using either manual or automatic methods.
Report any quality and safety problems or potential problems to management.
Ensure the quality and safety of one's own output.
Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
