About The Position

Perform various functions in support of finishing department operations, including shipping, loading and delivery of flooring products, scrap, and milling dust.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Pass the Mohawk lift truck certification test.
• Must Pass Eye Exam
• Dependable with good attendance record.
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or as a general laborer preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational safety checks and complete a vehicle inspection report before operating equipment
• Recharge lift truck battery or replace/refuel gas tank
• Lifting 40+ pounds numerous times during the work shift
• Keep designated finishing lines stocked with all material needs
• Monitor all milling typhoons for milling dust collection
• Unload goods from storage areas, bin locations or trailers
• Any other tasks assigned by management
• Ability to multi-task and stay focused on safety while performing job duties
• Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Ability to lift 80 pounds
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner as trained.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
