Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
Must be an effective team member.
Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to operate a computer.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, and stoop.
Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations.
Requires regular lifting up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

6+ months forklift experience preferred
Experience working with a hand held barcode scanner and computer is preferred
Successful completion of all required on the job training.
Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.

Responsibilities

Operates sit down forklift to transport materials between storage areas and trucks.
Operate and follow instructions as directed by an onboard RF unit.
Complies with all safety rules and procedures.
Assists in the unloading of shuttles on and loading of trucks.
Pulls bulk pallets of flooring from warehouse to docks.
Communicates with office staff on upcoming needs in support of the direct loading program (ie. trailers needed, when full and need replacement)
Loads trailers in support of the direct loading program in a safe, efficient manner avoiding damage to newly created product with proper loading techniques
Inspects pallets for quality assurance at designated times based on volume and product
Maintains proper housekeeping in the outfeed area (sweeping, emptying trash/recycling bins and dumpsters)
Performs Cycle Counts for picking and bulk Locations
Audits pallets to ensure accurate order fulfillment
Participates in Zero Contact Forklift Program through daily inspection of Powered Industrial Equipment
Communicates with Team Lead on location discrepancies
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management
