About The Position

Massanutten Resort is hiring a seasonal Lift Ticket Checker (ticket scanner) to work in lift mazes, greet and assist guests, and validate their access each time they use a lift. The role involves helping guests board lifts and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Employees maintain lift-line mazes throughout their shifts, including frequent shoveling and raking in mazes and loading areas.

Requirements

• Must communicate fluently in English.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of inclement weather.
• Ability to handle a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to tolerate standing in the cold for extended periods.
• Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of the ski industry.
• Basic knowledge of Massanutten and the resort layout.
• Previous experience working in a guest service environment.
• Skiing or snowboarding experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior guest service by offering information and assistance with a smile.
• Validate tickets and ensure each guest has a valid product before loading onto the lift.
• Set up, maintain, and dismantle lift mazes.
• Shovel and rake snow.
• Monitor RFID tablets at entry areas at all times to verify valid products.
• Assist guests with getting on the lift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
