About The Position

The Lift Ticket Checker or ticket scanner works in lift mazes, greets and assists guests, and validates their access each time they use a lift. The role involves helping guests board lifts, monitoring RFID tablets at entry areas, and setting up, maintaining, and dismantling lift mazes. The position works outdoors in all types of weather and includes frequent shoveling and raking of snow in lift-line mazes and loading areas. Schedules and hours vary; weekend and holiday shifts are required, with evenings and nights as needed.

Requirements

• Must communicate fluently in English.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of inclement weather.
• Must be able to handle a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to tolerate standing in the cold for extended periods.
• Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of the ski industry.
• Basic knowledge of Massanutten and the resort layout.
• Previous experience working in a guest service environment.
• Skiing or snowboarding experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior guest service by providing information and assistance with a smile.
• Validate tickets and ensure guests have their own valid product before loading onto a lift.
• Assist guests with getting on the lift.
• Set up, maintain, and dismantle lift mazes.
• Shovel and rake snow in lift mazes and loading areas.
• Monitor RFID tablets at all times for valid products at entry areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
