About The Position

H 2 O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H 2 O is currently seeking a Lift Station Technician to join our team in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The Lift Station Technician is responsible for performing basic electrical and skilled mechanical work in the installation, maintenance and repair of wastewater lift stations and related equipment. This position ensures the safe and efficient operation of all pumps, controls and monitoring devices within the utility system assisting electricians as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
Valid driver’s license required.
Experience with pumps, motors, and electrical systems strongly preferred.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces/outdoor conditions.
Knowledge of wastewater operations or previous utility/maintenance work is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work from heights.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SCADA systems.
Knowledge of basic electrical.
Two (2) years' experience in maintenance of pumps, controls, and basic electrical.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain and repair lift stations, pumps, motors and electrical control panels.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures in lift stations and related equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, controls and basic electrical.
Record maintenance and repair activities; complete work orders and reports accurately.
Respond to emergency situations after hours as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and comply with regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPS, etc.)
Take stand-by for after-hours callouts.
