About The Position

Performs responsible supervisory, administrative, and technical work involving the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of sewage lift stations, odor control facilities, and sewage transfer facilities. Primary duties include scheduling and coordinating projects, estimating costs, procuring materials and supplies, inspecting work, and performing various administrative tasks. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Lift Station Manager. Performance is reviewed through reports submitted, inspection of facilities, section accomplishments, and conferences with management.

Requirements

• Two (2) years college or technical training in the mechanical or electrical field plus six (6) years experience in operating, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment (such as pumps, engines, electrical control centers, electric motors, and piping arrangements of sewage pumping stations), to include Microsoft Office experience and three (3) years supervisory or managerial experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Florida Class D Driver's License required prior to employment.
• Wastewater Class B Collection Technician certificate required within six (6) months of hire.
• Must have a cell/home phone or the ability to be contacted in case of an emergency.
