About The Position

Stannah is a family-owned manufacturing and engineering company that makes life easier for people by improving access for greater convenience and independence. The business was founded in 1867 and is now a global business with the family still involved in running it. Stannah's range of products includes stairlifts, lifts, escalators, and homelifts, and they also provide maintenance and repair services. This role is for a Lift Repair Engineer to cover Basingstoke and surrounding areas. It is a hands-on role focused on repairs, fault finding, and keeping lifts running reliably. The engineer will manage their own work day-to-day with support from a local supervisor. The patch is local, structured, and includes a mix of commercial, residential, and public sites, with no unnecessary long-distance travel.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience working as a lift engineer (service/repair)
Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

Carrying out repairs and fault finding on lifts
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues
Replacing and upgrading components
Attending breakdowns and supporting call-outs
Getting lifts back into service safely and efficiently
Completing site paperwork and keeping records up to date
