As a Lift Operations Crew Lead, you will report to the Mountain Operations Duty Manager and Lift Operations Crew Supervisor. You assist in the daily operations of the Winter Lift Crew. You are responsible for break coverage, assisting with snow removal and ramp maintenance, supporting lift operations staff and any other assigned tasks. You are a key and important member of the Mountain Operations team, ensuring a safe and exceptional experience for all lift operators on your assigned crew as well as all mountain guests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 season winter operations experience
  • Minimum intermediate level skier/boarder
  • Knowledge of Grouse Mountain Resort policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of detachable, fixed grip, conveyor and tow lift systems
  • Possess outstanding customer service skills
  • Possess proven leadership abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the overseeing of lift operations staff on assigned crew
  • Attending all lift operations meetings for every scheduled shift
  • Assist with pre-operational checks & closing procedures
  • Coaching and motivating staff to maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Assist with the training of staff on all operating and safety procedures of detachable, fixed grip & conveyor lifts
  • Covering breaks for lift staff
  • Reporting guest comments, employee relations issues and liability concerns directly to the Duty Manager and the Lift Supervisor
  • Other duties as required
