Requirements

10+ years of crane and rigging experience.
3+ years of experience as a Lift Director, Rigging Supervisor, or in a comparable supervisory role.
NCCCO Lift Director Certification required.
Strong knowledge of crane operations, rigging practices, lift planning, and load charts.
Experience with mobile and/or crawler cranes.
Strong knowledge of OSHA crane and rigging requirements.
Ability to read and interpret lift plans, load charts, and technical documentation.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to project locations as needed.
Must successfully complete required pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

Experience in underground utilities, heavy civil, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction preferred.
Experience with Liebherr, Manitowoc, Link-Belt, or comparable crane equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and oversee crane, rigging, hoisting, and heavy lifting operations.
Develop, review, and approve standard and critical lift plans.
Review crane load charts, configurations, capacities, and operating conditions.
Evaluate jobsite conditions, including ground stability, crane positioning, access, and lifting areas.
Coordinate crane operators, riggers, signalpersons, ironworkers, Superintendents, and other field personnel.
Conduct pre-lift and pre-task meetings to review lift plans, communication procedures, responsibilities, and potential hazards.
Verify proper rigging equipment and procedures are used for each lift.
Monitor lifting operations to ensure work is performed safely and according to the approved lift plan.
Identify unsafe conditions and stop or modify lifting operations when necessary.
Maintain required lift plans, inspection records, and other documentation.
Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company policies, and project specifications.
Work closely with Project Management, Operations, Safety, and field leadership.
Support complex lifts, structural steel erection, heavy material placement, and other specialized lifting activities.
Provide guidance and leadership to crane and rigging crews.
