About The Position

The Transportation Aide and Patient Lift Team Member works individually and/or in a team of no less than two. The role performs and assists with transportation and/or patient lifts and other patient-handling maneuvers, as delegated by the Manager or Director, in collaboration with a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• Healthcare experience as a Transporter, Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Support Tech, Emergency Medical Tech, or similar.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Understanding of patient-focused care.
• Relationship skills.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.
• Ability to think critically, work semi-independently, multitask, and work under pressure.
• Ability to demonstrate competence in body mechanics and proper lifting technique.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to walk, climb and descend stairs, push, pull, bend, squat, and kneel without restrictions.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with patient transportation.
• Perform and assist with patient lifts and other patient-handling maneuvers as delegated by the Manager or Director, in collaboration with a Registered Nurse.
• Work individually and/or as part of a team of at least two.
