About The Position

The Lift Access Director/Monitor is responsible for maintaining efficient, organized, and safe guest flow through lift access gates and maze areas. This position serves as the primary point of control for directing guests, monitoring lift line operations, and ensuring continuous movement through scanner gates. Bogus Basin is a four-season mountain recreation area and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing accessible, affordable outdoor recreation, education, and community programming year-round. Requirements

Passionate about Bogus Basin's mission and values.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with limited supervision.
Basic computer and tablet proficiency.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic and fast-paced environments.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to stand, walk, balance, and move around lift areas for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to use hand tools and equipment necessary for lift maze setup and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

Appropriate equipment for alpine skiing/snowboarding that is up-to-date, in good repair and in safe working condition
Helmet (if riding on the clock to work location) and eyewear
Gloves or mittens, durable and in good repair
Thermal wear, sufficient clothing for warmth

Responsibilities

Assume responsible charge of lift lines and maze areas.
Direct and maintain orderly guest traffic through lift access gates and loading areas.
Communicate clearly and confidently with large groups of guests to provide direction and information.
Assist guests through scanner gates and address access issues that may impede traffic flow.
Maintain lift access areas in accordance with operational standards.
Monitor ticket scanner systems, camera feeds, tablets, and computer systems used for lift access operations.
Identify scanner, gate, or computer issues and communicate with Lift Operations leadership and IT personnel to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain communication with Lift Supervisors and other Lift Access Directors regarding operational concerns and line conditions.
Use tablets, computers, and monitoring systems to identify potential misuse or fraudulent use of tickets and passes.
Flag misused tickets or passes when appropriate and accurately document incidents according to department procedures.
Communicate pass misuse concerns to Lift Operations leadership.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Assist with mountain rescue efforts when requested and properly trained.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Present a professional, positive image of Bogus Basin while interacting with guests and employees.
