Come be part of an organization transforming the caring field every day, here at Cleveland Clinic. As LifeStyles Lead, you will oversee the Aquatics Departments at Green Health and Wellness Center. Using your knowledge, you will help develop and coordinate aquatics programs as well as teach both group and private lessons. This position offers a great way to stretch your management and leadership skills at one of the most respected healthcare systems in the world. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts between 5:30AM – 10:00PM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) with AED Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross AED certification: Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED through the American Red Cross or Heartsaver CPR AED through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Certified Lifeguard
  • One year of experience in assigned area
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and personnel management
  • Excellent communication and customer service-related skills

Nice To Haves

  • Water Safety Instructor Certification for Aquatic Department
  • Prior instructor experience
  • Experience with people who move and learn differently

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the work activities of the caregiver in their assigned area.
  • Participate in interviewing and training new caregivers.
  • Assist in payroll, scheduling caregivers, ordering supplies and covering shifts as needed.
  • Help develop, instruct and supervise the quality of programs and services.
  • Support maintaining an appropriate schedules for all locations.
  • Assist in implementing a promotional strategy to generate maximum participation in all activities and programs.
  • Assist with the LifeStyles Emergency Action Plan (EAP) staff training, CPR/AED training and certification and incident debriefings.
  • Conduct regular inspections focusing on safety and cleanliness.
  • Provide input to manager for annual department budget.
  • Participate in Manager On Duty (MOD) rotation.
