About The Position

WSBT has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Lifestyle Production Assistant for our Home Town Living Show! Responsibilities include writing stories for daily shows and digital platforms, conducting research on stories, gathering, writing, editing and delivering Lifestyle content, and editing video news/web stories for all platforms. The role also involves preparing for newscasts, including guest services, preparing fonts for air, studio and set preparation, maintaining studio lighting, and tape editing for newscasts. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience is not necessary, but education and/or internship in television or related field preferred
• Training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Write stories for daily shows and digital platforms
• Conduct research on stories
• Gather, write, edit and deliver Lifestyle content
• Edit video news/web stories for all platforms
• Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Operate Deko, Audio, or Camera for our (Morning, Evening, Weekend) Newscast
• Prep for newscasts including but not limited to: Guest Services
• Prepare all fonts to air during a newscast
• Studio and set preparation
• Maintaining studio Lighting
• Tape Editing for newscasts
• Other duties as assigned
