About The Position

The Lifestyle Enrichment Professional facilitates well-being and recreational Lifestyle Enrichment as assigned in resident treatment plans or activity schedules and as directed by the Well-Being Director. The role requires obtaining and interpreting information with consideration for residents’ age-specific needs and promoting an environment that supports physical, social, emotional, vocational, intellectual, environmental, and spiritual well-being.

The professional assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the facility’s activity programs. They oversee residents participating in scheduled enrichment, use activity care plans to support daily enrichment, assist the Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator with activity calendars and their execution, and provide ongoing group and self-directed enrichment. Flexible coverage may include evening and weekend hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of experience in activities is preferred.
• Professional experience with geriatric residents in a Personal Care Home is preferred.
• A background or experience as a musician, artist, or other creative professional is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote an environment supporting residents’ physical, social, emotional, vocational, intellectual, environmental, and spiritual well-being.
• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating facility activity programs.
• Oversee residents engaged in scheduled enrichment to promote physical, social, vocational, emotional, and intellectual well-being.
• Use activity care plans as tools for providing daily Lifestyle Enrichment.
• Assist the Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator with developing and executing activity calendars, with flexible scheduling for coverage that may include evenings and weekends.
• Provide ongoing group and self-directed Lifestyle Enrichment.
