About The Position

The Lifestyle Director will be responsible for creating, planning, and implementing various community activities and events for a large, multigenerational resort community. The ideal candidate must be responsible, proactive, customer-service minded, and possess superior customer service skills and creativity.

Requirements

  • Strong computer & Social Media skills are essential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office, website management, Constant Contact, Outlook, Microsoft Publisher.
  • Detail-oriented with superior documentation and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with staff, committees, and homeowners.
  • Ability to answer incoming calls and research and solve customer issues.
  • Present a professional image.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions and work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Strong Time Management skills.
  • Strong Problem Solving and Conflict Management skills.
  • Ability to successfully work with a wide range of personnel including vendors, personnel, office staff and all levels of management.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to freely move about the office and community.
  • Must be able and willing to work a variety of hours in order to meet the requirements of the position, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications such as In Design and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, and implement various community activities and events for a Multigenerational large Resort Community.
  • Develop creative ideas for high-quality community events that encourage resident-to-resident, resident-to-staff, and resident-to-associated program partner interaction.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive events calendar, including task completion/delivery dates.
  • Create and manage event-specific "Task Lists" outlining all necessary items for event completion.
  • Create and implement marketing campaigns and communications to residents to ensure strong attendance at community events.
  • Communicate and work with on-site managers to schedule volunteers and set expectations for staff involvement in event planning and implementation.
  • Manage all day-of event details, including location setup, equipment, food/beverage, supplies, and décor.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and management of event-related budgets.
  • Work with neighboring businesses for event sponsorship.
  • Prepare monthly newsletters for electronic distribution.
  • Create and maintain an organized list of associated vendors and contact information.
  • Manage and negotiate event-related vendor contracts.
  • Assist in training and developing other community staff in event preparation, management, setup, and teardown.
  • Work with corporate support departments to ensure compliance with insurance requirements and safety measures.
  • Ensure customer service and engagement are primary tenants of all event-related interactions.
  • Regularly review event effectiveness for opportunities to improve future events and resident satisfaction.
  • Conduct business with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations to maintain workflow and meet schedules.
  • Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain knowledge of new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
