About The Position
Temporary seasonal lifeguards are needed for the 2026-2027 school year at Wenatchee High School. The salary is $17.13 per hour. These positions support the athletic swim programs and various user groups.
Requirements
- First Aid/CPR/ and AED certification (Washington State accepted certificates).
- Current Lifeguard Certificate required.
- HIV/AIDS Hepatitis B training or equivalent.
- WSD required employee training.
- Knowledge of water safety and accident prevention.
- Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and the community.
- Skills in verbal and written communication.
Nice To Haves
- ARC or YMCA preferred.
Responsibilities
- Acts as rescuer/caregiver in emergency situations.
- Recognizes and prevents potential aquatic accidents.
- Informs and educates athletes and pool users about pool rules and their importance.
- Reports problems to the Aquatics Coordinator or Head Lifeguard.
- Attends all staff training sessions and meetings.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
