About The Position
The Powhatan Family YMCA is seeking part-time enthusiastic community members to help save lives and ensure the safety of patrons at our pool. We are looking for certified lifeguards or swimmers who are interested in becoming lifeguards. The YMCA of Greater Richmond is committed to creating a diverse work environment and believes in nurturing the potential of all staff, dedicated to ongoing professional development. The Y is a cause-driven organization focused on strengthening our community with core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years old.
- Current CPR, AED, First Aid certification.
- Current American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification.
- Meet basic swim requirements if not already certified.
Nice To Haves
- Oxygen Administration (O2) certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety of the members and program participants.
