About The Position

We are seeking multiple seasonal certified lifeguards for our residential apartment community at Woodhill Apartments in Newark, NY. This is a seasonal position from Memorial Day through Labor Day, requiring 25-30 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. A seasonal stay bonus will be awarded at the end of the season if certain criteria are met during employment. The lifeguard will be responsible for maintaining safety and order at the pool, responding to emergencies, and ensuring a pleasant and professional environment for residents.

Requirements

Must be an excellent swimmer
Must have a certification in lifesaving particularly the Red Cross Advanced Lifesaving Certificate
Must have specific training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Must be CPR certified

Responsibilities

Maintain safety, order and discipline in accordance with pool rules.
Respond to patrons in distress and administer first aid and/or CPR.
Monitor the pool area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
Interact with patrons in a pleasant and professional manner.
Clean pool restrooms daily.
Maintain pool chemicals to acceptable state guidelines.
Additional duties as required by manager especially during periods of inactivity in pool area.
