About The Position

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking individuals aged 16 and above to serve as lifeguards at the Christian St YMCA. This role offers the opportunity to develop important skills such as communication, leadership, and responsibility. The YMCA is a non-profit organization committed to making the community stronger and provides a supportive leadership team and opportunities for growth.

Requirements

• Age 16+
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing
