About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Lifeguard is the safety of all Club Members and Guests while utilizing aquatic facilities.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a friendly attitude, good health, maturity, a sense of understanding of the seriousness and responsibility of the position and be able to work as a team player with his or her peers.
  • Candidates must possess a valid and current Lifeguarding Certification, First Aid Certification, CPR and AED Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience in an aquatic environment and Lifeguarding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Come to work in proper uniform, groomed and ready to perform by assigned start time.
  • Properly clock in and manage any timecard issues through Paycom’s employee self-service portal.
  • Be helpful, friendly and cheerful to all Members, Guests and fellow staff in the performance of his or her duties outlined in the current Aquatics Manual.
  • Follow the Code of Conduct at all times and positively represent the Club.
  • Assist in the opening and closing procedures of assigned pool or beach.
  • Enforce all established rules and guidelines of the Leisure Service Guide and current year Aquatics Manual.
  • Call the Aquatics SV on duty for assistance with disciplinary problems or Member issues.
  • Execute the proper assists and "rescue ready" guarding techniques and scanning procedures.
  • Safeguard Members and Guests both in and out of the water and execute the proper rescues whenever necessary.
  • If necessary, administer proper first aid and carry out the Emergency Action Plan set forth by the Lake Naomi Club.
  • Constantly check for safety and survey all areas for potential risks including in the pool, on deck, at the beach and in all surrounding areas.
  • Keep all water areas and their immediate surroundings clean and assist with maintenance of these areas as needed.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor on Duty.
  • Attend seasonal Aquatics Orientation and weekly seasonal staff training sessions.
