About The Position
We are looking for individuals age 18+ to serve as lifeguards. As a lifeguard, you develop important skills such as communication, leadership and responsibility that will serve you for a lifetime! You can expect support from an amazing leadership team, opportunities to learn & grow at the YMCA, and to be a part of a non-profit organization that works to make the community stronger.
Requirements
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course
- Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills
- Age 18+
- Weekend availability is a must
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants
- Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing
