About The Position

YMCA at Downtown is Now Hiring for Lifeguard, Full-time. This is a full-time position with a pay range starting at $14 per hour, with potential for more depending on experience. Shifts are Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, maintaining a minimum of 35 hours each week. We are looking for enthusiastic Lifeguards to join our Aquatics Team. If you’re ready to keep our pools safe, have fun while working, and make an impact, this could be the job for you!

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 18
• Ability to swim at an intermediate level (check out our Prerequisite Skills Evaluation)

Nice To Haves

• No lifeguarding experience? No worries! We’ll provide all required training and certifications, including the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, risk-free environment for all swimmers.
• Enforce pool rules (politely but firmly).
• Build relationships with members while ensuring they enjoy their time in the water.
• Maintain a clean and safe swimming area.
