About The Position

The Lifeguard is responsible for providing safety to the members and guests in the pools and surrounding areas. This role involves maintaining a safe environment, supervising pool activities, and being prepared to take life-saving measures when necessary. The lifeguard will also participate in the maintenance of the pool, exercise equipment, and emergency equipment. Flexibility in business hours and work schedules is expected. The position requires adherence to all safety requirements and certifications, and a thorough understanding of emergency procedures, including confident communication with EMS.

Requirements

• Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties.
• CPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Current Lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization required.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a lifeguard preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety in the pools and surrounding pool areas.
• Provide supervision and take life saving measures when necessary for members and guests in the pool and surrounding areas.
• Participate in maintenance of the pool, exercise equipment and emergency equipment.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and confidence in communicating with EMS.
• Other duties as assigned.
