About The Position
The Lifeguard at The Club at Tartan Fields is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all members and guests using the aquatic facilities. This role requires constant vigilance, a strong understanding of water safety procedures, and a commitment to delivering a positive, family-friendly member experience.
Requirements
- Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Ability to swim proficiently and perform rescues as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Maintain active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas at all times
- Enforce pool rules and regulations in a professional and courteous manner
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including rescues and first aid situations
- Administer CPR, AED, and First Aid when necessary
- Monitor swimmer behavior to prevent unsafe activities
- Perform routine pool safety checks and report any hazards or maintenance concerns
- Maintain accurate incident and accident reports as required
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the pool facility
- Provide exceptional service and interact positively with members and guests
- Support pool events, swim lessons, and special programs as needed
