About The Position

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives? We are looking for a dedicated Lifeguard to oversee the safety of our employees and customers. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Lifeguards play a key role in maintaining a safe environment for our students, parents, and staff. If you are excited about giving back to the community and making a lasting impact on children's lives, then SafeSplash is the place for you! This role is for a Saf-T-Swim location. Saf-T-Swim is owned and operated by SafeSplash.

Requirements

Lifeguard Certification is required and must be maintained during time of employment (we will provide)
Current CPR-PR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within 90 days of hire and be maintained (we will provide)
Expected to learn the curriculum to include all safety aspects within 30 days of employment.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents.
Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods

Responsibilities

Maintain constant surveillance to ensure the safety of our customers and report any unsafe activities, equipment or instruction to management.
Provide feedback to instructors immediately if they are outside of curriculum safety requirements (i.e. safety distances, holds, turning backs, etc.)
Act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of customers in the event of an emergency.
Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Prepare appropriate incident reports.
Always present a professional and engaging attitude.
Attend monthly in-services to continue to work on lifeguarding skills.
Deliver a world-class experience by ensuring we are providing a safe environment for our swimmers.
