Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) employs student-focused professionals with equity-mindsets. Established in 1963, ASI is a non-profit corporation guided by a student board and managed by full-time professional staff. ASI serves the entire campus population by providing opportunities for student engagement, student employment, and a multitude of programs and services. The Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC) Aquatics team plays a huge role in the operations of the BRIC Pool and lounge area. The team consists of staff who assist with the day-to-day operations by providing aquatic safety during all operating hours of the pool. Aquatics offers instructional activity programs and certification courses for students to partake. The team also focuses on creating a fun, safe, and exciting programs and special events for campus community members to enjoy. Aquatics provides an opportunity to develop strong leadership skills, professional development, work in a team environment, and be part of a great organization. Under minimal supervision from the Aquatics Manager, the Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of participants using the aquatic facilities, as well as enforcing rules and regulations regarding pool use. The Lifeguard performs skilled tasks requiring advanced certification, specialized knowledge, prior relevant experience, and considerable independent judgment and decision-making.
