About The Position

The Summit Club, located near Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Lifeguard to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department. This is a seasonal position ending October 3, 2026. The Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the safety of our aquatic areas by monitoring and enforcing safety regulations for the pool and lake areas. In addition to monitoring the water safety, the Lifeguard will also be responsible for monitoring the pool deck, beach areas, and water slide. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

Current lifeguard certification is required.
CPR, First Aid, AED Certification required.
Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.

Nice To Haves

No specific degree required - though a bachelor's may be desirable
2 years working in an aquatic environment preferred.
Additional languages preferred.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.

Responsibilities

Surveying activity in the pool to ensure the safety of all our members and guests.
Maintain an organized appearance of the pool area throughout the day.
Ensure daily set up and breakdown of all activities and equipment is completed.
Report any safety or maintenance concerns immediately to the Clubhouse Manager.
Enforce pool rules and regulations.
Provide risk management for aquatic areas.
Perform first aid treatments when necessary.
Attend meetings and trainings as necessary.
Any other duties as assigned.
