About The Position

Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by educating, preventing, and responding to emergencies and providing first aid care as needed. This is a seasonal position.

Requirements

• Current Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to walk over uneven terrain to monitor facility and provide customer supervision.
• Ability to climb several flights of stairs to monitor slide usage and provide supervision.
• Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to maintain concentrated attention for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.
• One season of lifeguarding preferred.
• Decision-making skills and public relations skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and respond according to training in emergencies
• Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Inspects the facility on a regular basis and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor.
• Provide minor first aid care in non-emergency situations.
• Complete records and reports as required.
• Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
