Position Summary: The Lifeguard of Bellerive Country Club (“Bellerive”) is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment by enforcing all water safety policies and procedures. This role involves actively monitoring Members and guests in and around the pool, preventing accidents, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Additionally, the Lifeguard fosters positive Member relations by providing excellent service and promoting a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all. Core Four Competencies: Maintain constant supervision of swimmers, proactively prevent accidents, respond swiftly to emergencies, and administer basic first aid when needed. Foster a welcoming and enjoyable environment by assisting Members and guests, enforcing pool rules respectfully, and addressing concerns professionally. Ensure pool cleanliness, inspect and maintain changing rooms and restrooms, conduct safety checks, and properly store safety and swimming equipment. Collaborate with the Pool / Swim Team to organize swim programs, attend training sessions, maintain accurate records, and communicate safety concerns to management.
